Peter is a graduate of the University of Wales and of the University of Manchester and is the creator of four series of stories for children in the 4 - 7 age range, The Adventures of:- Cyril The Squirrel, Dillon Dinosaur, Colin Caterpillar and A Fish Called Chips. He has recently started to become more widely known as a writer for children.

In late 2005 he published through BaBa Productions, of which he is a partner, two illustrated children's books of picture book length entitled Cyril The Squirrel Goes To The Fair and Dillon Dinosaur Starts A Pop Group. The books, which are of A5 size for easy handling by children, are available from a number of outlets in North East England and Yorkshire and are the first books from each of the two series he has created. He works with an illustrator, Chris Leaper, who is also featured on this web site and designed the graphics for it.

A former primary school teacher, Peter also writes music and regularly tells his stories for children with songs, 'Singthings', in primary schools, at arts centres, story telling festivals and folk festivals. He is a member of The British Academy of Composers and Songwriters.
